ONGOAL Twin-screw Slurry Mixing System Debuted at the Annual GaoGong Conference

 

On November 14-16, 2022, with the theme of "New Power for All the King's horses, China Leads the World", the 2022 GaoGong Lithium Annual Conference was held in Shenzhen. Helen Yang, Design Director of Homogenization Business Unit of ONGOAL TECH, was invited to attend and gave a keynote speech. ONGOAL new twin-screw slurry mixing process

 

Behind the speed up, expansion and renewal of the power battery industry is the iterative upgrading of technology and equipment. In the special session of "New Power New Equipment" on November 14, Mr. Yang Hailun gave a speech with the theme of "Development and Application of New Generation Twin-screw Slurry Mixing System".

 

The main factors affecting the manufacture of battery cells include the stability and filterability of the slurry, as well as the weight consistency of the coating. Slurry has the greatest impact on the manufacturing process of battery cells and is therefore critical to battery performance.

 

Traditional twin-screw slurry mixing systems use continuous feed and discharge, with high dynamic metering fluctuations and relatively high risk.     

 

In response to this, ONGOAL TECH has developed and improved a new generation of twin-screw slurry mixing system, which can solve three pain points: the precision control of the dynamic metering system, the control of metal Particle and the equipment cost.

 

The traditional continuous twin-screw pulping system, with continuous feed and continuous discharge, has a multi-group loss-in-weight metering system that requires high dynamic metering accuracy control and has problems such as uncontrollable accuracy in the replenishment phase.

 

The new generation of twin-screw slurry mixing systems has improved the metering by adopting dynamic metering before mixing, reducing the number of loss-in-weight scales, thus improving metering accuracy and mixing uniformity and further reducing investment costs.

 

 

In addition, after the batch is discharged, the slurry can enter the dispersion tank for further back-stirring, with fewer screw components and shorter screw lengths, thus reducing metal wear between the screw/barrel and the material and reducing the impact of metal foreign bodies on the product.

 

From dual planetary stirring technology, high efficiency slurry mixing process, to twin-screw slurry mixing technology, in the course of the TWh era, ONGOAL is supporting the innovative process of power batteries with continuous iterations of pulping technology.
